You see them bowing and falling down in prostration (in prayer), seeking Allah's benevolence and pleasure. The mark of them (that is, their faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of prostration (during prayer). This is their description in the Taurah (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed that puts forth its shoot, then makes it strong and grows thick and it stands straight on its stem, pleasing the sowers, that He may anger the unbelievers with them. Allah has promised those among those who believe and do righteous deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (Paradise). (Al-Fath: 29) The Prophet Muhammad (S) said: "The example of the guidance and knowledge that Allah has sent me with is like abundant rain falling on the earth. Part of it was fertile soil that absorbed rainwater and produced vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another part of it was hard and held the rainwater and Allah favored the people with it and they used it to drink (and let their animals drink from it) and to irrigate the land for cultivation. (And) part of it was the desert which could neither hold water nor produce vegetation (this land yielded no benefit). The first is the example of the person who understands the religion of Allah (Islam) and benefits (from the knowledge) which Allah (Azawajal) has revealed through me (the Prophet) and learns and then teaches it to others. (The last example is the) person who does not care about it and does not take Allah's guidance revealed through me (he is like that desert)." (Al-Mukarramah).
